Legato: Cabinets with a Personality

Swedish design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune designed this series of candy colored cabinets for Casamania to have a soft and friendly appearance and a super fun personality. The Legato collection features colorful doors in various widths that are neither square nor round and are positioned next to each other in a row. The result is an eye-catching storage unit that kinda looks like a festive caterpillar inching along.

The collection is named for legato, Italian for “tied together”, which indicates musical notes that are played together with no break. The shape of the doors reminded the designers of how musical notes are drawn.
