LG Styler Opens the Door to a More Welcome Type of Black Mirror Future

Ahead of this year’s Consumer Electronic Show, the LG Styler Black Tinted Mirror Glass Door has been awarded a 2019 Innovation Award for its combination of AI-powered smart mirror features with Google Assistant integrated into a wardrobe appliance form factor designed to steam clean over 99.9 percent of the germs and bacteria found in clothing for hygienic upkeep between washes.

Initial impressions of the monolithic and minimalist LG Styler Black Tinted Mirror Glass Door hint of a compact modern refrigerator. Opening its single door reveals a hanger wardrobe with room for up to five garments, including coats, jacket, shirts, dresses and a pair of pants (secured and pressed onto the door).

LG’s clothing maintenance appliance is designed to work with voice activation using Google Assistant, steaming and shaking out wrinkles by voice command, while also gently removing odors without resorting to washing or dry cleaning. For anyone cycling through weekly work outfits normally requiring steaming or ironing, the LG Styler Black Tinted Mirror Glass Door offers a more convenient option that may prolong garments.

The LG ThinQ mirror has one more trick up its sleeve, capable of delivering bespoke fashion suggestions and virtual fittings specific to the users dimensions, with the option to order clothing according to the system’s measurements.
