Lucy: An Edward Granger x Bend Collaboration

Artist Edward Granger and design/manufacturing company Bend joined forces on a collaboration that is the tricked out Lucy Chair. They both work with similar design aesthetics that finds them experimenting with sustainable products and experimenting with geometric shapes for which you’ll notice in the finished product.

The chair was made using sustainable materials, from Bend’s design to Granger’s art materials and thread. The chair itself is one of Bend’s designs called The Lucy Chair and once in Granger’s hands, the chair becomes almost unrecognizable with its mosaic pattern of colorful woven threads.

After debuting at this year’s ICFF, the chair will go on the road as part of sustainable art installations and events that Bend is involved in helping to demonstrate the relationship between product and environment.
