Los Angeles’ bars include Horchata, Popcorn, Piloncillo, Miso & Sesame, and Orange, which they sourced from locals like Pacific Cinnamon (Horchata), Martinez Candy Company (Pilonchillo), and Cold Mountain Miso (Miso & Sesame). For the artwork, Mast partnered with textiles brand Block Shop, known for their use of natural dyes and hand printing with hand carved natural blocks, who were inspired by downtown LA’s architecture and color palette.
Brooklyn’s have Olive Oil, Smoked Maple, Rye, Vanilla & Salt, and Rooftop Chili, which were made using ingredients from local institutions like Frankie’s (Olive Oil), Brooklyn Grange (Rooftop Chili), and Amagansett Sea Salt (Vanilla & Salt), for example. The packaging was created by one of Mast’s personal friends, Andrew Tarlow, who painted original artwork for the wrappings.
For London, the flavors highlight many British favorites like as Black Treacle, Gin, Rhubarb & Custard, Tea & Milk, and Vanilla & Smoke, where they worked with Good and Proper Tea (Tea & Milk), Ragus (Black Treacle), The Spice Shop (Gin), and Paradise Fruits (Rhubarb & Custard) for the ingredients. The packaging is the result of photographer David Post, who captured images of architecture from around the city.
