Midgard Releases Its First Design Since the 1950s With AYNO Lighting

Midgard has released their first new design since the 1950s: AYNO lighting, designed by Diez Office. A contemporary take on an adjustable lamp, no joints are necessary. A slim, flexible fiberglass rod’s curve can be adjusted via a cable and two rings to control the lighting’s arc. The rod can be bent into the desired position and the cone of light can be focused where needed, further fine adjustments can be made by swiveling the lampshade.

Made entirely in Germany, the AYNO family meets today’s sustainability requirements in many ways. The sleek, slender design uses a minimum of materials and resources. The three primary materials – steel, fiberglass and ABS/PC – are largely recycled and can be recycled once again. No tools are needed to assemble, maintain or repair AYNO. And last but not least, the lamps ship in space-saving cardboard boxes.

AYNO is now available as a table or floor light in three different sizes (S, L and XL). You have the choice of a textile-coated cable in neon orange or neutral black.
