Recent graduate Alicja Prussakowska designed Mizu as a transformable piece of furniture whose fluid shelves adapt based on what you place on them. Its Japanese name translates to water, which is perfectly reflected in its undulating shelves.
The idea is for the piece to become yours over time, with all the dents, stains, and marks that develop creating a personal story with its owner. By switching up what is placed on the shelves, you not only change its shape, but it becomes your own reflection or extension of you as a person.
A simple mechanism lets you adjust the shelves on each level letting you form your own sculptural storage piece.
