Starting back on May 31st, the Design is Human Expo + MA! Architecture Tour will run through June 12th, so there’s still time to sign up and take advantage of all the great stuff to do and see. We’re really excited to attend the events for the first time this year, and we’re honored to be a media partner for the entire design festival.
Featuring over 25 national and international brands at the MA International Design Expo (MIDExpo), which will be held at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC), will include a variety of brands from established to emerging. Exhibitors include Dornbracht,  Biomega, Roche Bobois, KiBiSi, BAUX, Neolith, Peg Woodworking, bulbul, Jacuzzi, and more.
The upcoming architectural tours this weekend in Atlanta include Ponce City Market, and Serenbe Farms in Chattahoochee Hills, GA, including the new Art Farm.
For the educational portion of the event, there will be talks, including a chat moderated by Susan Szenasy, editor-in-chief of Metropolis Magazine on the topic of The Smart City Model. Panelists include Ryan Gravel, Amy Chester and Jarel Portman. Another talk will highlight the resurgence of the tiny house trend with Bryan Russell (Dencity Design); Will Johnston (Tiny Homes Atlanta); Bill Carpenter (Lightroom) Moderated by Michael Kahn of Curbed Atlanta. Other talk topics include the work of Herry Bertoia, food + design, and Danish design, and the intersection of technology and design. Plus, CUE credit classes will be offered.
One of the things we’re looking forward to is Atelier MA! They’ve partnered with Atlanta’s Elevator Factory and Citizen Supply on a new retail concept where you can shop design products that reflect MA!’s mission, along with special collaborations and limited editions from leading and emerging brands, including new product launches from Dutch brands Biomega, Bulbul, and Textile No.
Most of the events are free to attend! Architecture tour tickets (which include entry to the June 10 MIDExpo and MA Architecture Tour Launch event, and an MA Book) and other information can be found at MA-designishuman.com.
