Modern Handwoven Rattan Chairs from WEND Studio

WEND Studio recently launched with the goal of blending traditional Indonesian hand weaving with a modern California aesthetic. Working with a family of weavers in Java, Indonesia, designers Michelle Plante and Genevieve Bandrowski have designed a collection of seating made from hand-foraged, sustainable rattan that results in completely unique pieces, as no two are exactly alike. With their open weave designs and contemporary silhouettes, the pieces feature linear patterns that result in classic but updated rattan seating.
