Monument Grills’ Mesa Collection Shows off the Transformative Power of Color

Spring is back, and alongside the welcome warmer weather, the season is apt to thaw out plans for entertaining outdoors again. For many, entertaining al fresco means grilling, smoking, and BBQing, specifically with the aid of an outdoor grill. The majority of grills in backyards fall under two categories: a round charcoal grill or a stainless steel propane fueled appliance. Which makes Monument Grills’ new colorfully finished Mesa Heartbeats Series of grills a sight for metallic-tinged sore eyes.

Monument Grills basically took the same form and features of their standard stainless steel propane gas Mesa 200S grill and gave it a whole new colorful personality with three shades reminiscent of the vibrant hues of American automobiles of the 1950s and 1960s. The powder-coated exterior finish is paired with porcelain enamel cast iron grates offering 450 square inches of cooking surface within. Other convenient features include a push button ignition button, two large burner dials, a lid mounted temperature gauge, and even a fixed bottle opener affixed to the side of the grill for pop-top convenience. There’s nothing particularly high tech about these grills, but the 8-year limited warranty reflects these grills are engineered for simple, convenient, and dependable operation rather than any smart grilling options.

The conspicuously colorful personality of Monument Grills’ vibrantly painted grills are contrasted by their easy-to-hide compact footprint, offering apartment and condo dwellers the possibility of inviting this small but powerfully outfitted 24,000 BTU rated grill onto a balcony, patio, or deck.

Monument Grills also offers larger capacity and higher heat Mesa models aimed beyond the 1-3 cooking capacity of the Mesa 200 Heartbeats Series, with the Mesa 415BZ bumped up to a 62,000 BTU output, infrared cooking/searing, a 12,000 BTU side burner, and enough grill space to cook for up to 10 backyard guests.

Whether the Mesa’s two side tables are outstretched or folded downward alongside the grill’s sides, the grill gives off the appearance of a friendly retro-futuristic robot.

The Mesa Heartbeats Series isn’t the only option out there when it comes to colorful and/or design-forward grilling options. Other outdoor grill brands like Weber offer a spectrum of hues ranging from burnt orange to spring green, reflective of the continuing trend toward reintroducing colors across the kitchen, cooking appliances, and outdoors after decades of monotonous monochrome designs.
