Myrna Collection Finds Inspiration on the 1930s Silver Screen

Light is such a powerful way to use color, shape, and material to define a space. The Myrna collection, designed by Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, welcomes the true qualities of sheet materials, and allows them to help create simple, sculptural lighting that adds warmth and dimension to the space it occupies.

Does the curved oval shape remind you of anything? It’s been inspired by the wide-brim hats worn by 1930s silver screen star Myrna Loy and others at the time. The elegant collection offers a variety of finishes and glass options in the form of pendants, wall mounts, and flush mounts.

The Myrna Pendant light comes in three sizes, with finishes ranging from brush-stroke brass to powder-coated perforated steel. Ladies & Gentlemen Studio’s new signature colors of washed glass globes are fog, cream, and rust, with hardware options in brass and blackened brass.

The Myrna Wall Mount Mobile is suspended from the wall and balanced on an adjustable arm, which is also responsible for adjusting the shade thanks to a counterweight. It’s perforated shade and color washed glass globe create a soft glow.

The Myrna Flush Mount, or sconce, sits directly on a wall or ceiling, and is available in a sandblasted glass or brushstroke finish.
