New Furnishings Collection by Sandro Lopez

Sandro Lopez, whose work we’ve featured before on Design Milk, is back again with their latest work launched during the London Design Festival. The 2014-15 collection includes vases, stools, and a coffee table, which highlights wood, marble, and glass that were used to create interesting silhouettes.

Abito2

The Abito vases, which means “dress” in Italian, is envisioned as a way to dress up flowers. Much like how flowers dress up a home, these vases dress up the flowers, while also acting as a home for them. A solid marble base is topped off with a large, transparent glass covering.

Parallax3

Parallax is a sculptural coffee table that focuses on the fragile balance between two different views – much like people who are gathered around a table engaged in deep conversation. Contrasts are created between the sturdy oak and the more delicate glass top. Furthermore, Parallax looks different depending on the angle viewed.

Lastly, the S01 stool is created by milling components of the same trunk of wood, but at different axes to create a textured look. It can be stacked up to 7 stools high and can also work as a side table.
