Nomad: A Portable Herb Planter

When two food and design loving product designers became roommates and moved to a small apartment in Brooklyn, their love of home cooking and childhood memories of gathering herbs and vegetables united them. Swiss born Miriam Josi and Australian born Stella Lee Prowse created The Garden Apartment to help reconnect them to their lifelong loves of meals and where they came from.

The duo designed a portable herb planter, called Nomad, that lets you grow your favorites in a multitude of environments. A rectangle-shaped piece of fabric is folded into a double-sided pot with a large eyelet for hanging, making the perfect place for indoor gardening.

All superfluous details are stripped away leaving only the bare essentials making the manufacturing process in New York City much easier.

The double layers of fabric allow the soil to breathe and drain properly.
