Nook Residence by MU Architecture

Located in Mansonville, Québec, the Nook Residence, designed by MU Architecture, has a demure front facade with the back much more open and revealing. Strategically placed windows and an opening in the structure give a glimpse at the views of Lake Memphremagog.

The home is located on a steep lot that directed the design to point towards the lake. It’s made up of two volumes that are connected by a bending “ribbon” that joins the roofs together. The slanted walls create overhangs to protect the terraces from the sun.

Inside, there are polished concrete radiant floors, white walls, and cedar ceilings that continue through to the outdoor ceilings.
