Objects for Atheists

furniture-for-atheists-1

Guy Keulemans researched online atheist groups and also the influence of religion on atheists. This large chest of drawers is the result of his research.

Shelves are hidden in the back of a chest of drawers, becoming a secret to be discovered; and superseding the secretive nature of drawers. This concept is positioned as a metaphor for the continual drive of atheists to uncover and expose the mysteries of science, religion and life.

Constructed from sustainably harvested bamboo with dovetail joinery, and little to no glue or nails were used. Castors allow the chest to be moved around easily.
