Office Renovation by Piret Johanson Interiors

Located in the meatpacking district in NYC, this IT consulting group’s office got a 3,200 square foot renovation by Piret Johanson Interiors. While wanting to remain faithful to the character of the building, they preserved the original brick walls by building up in the middle of the space. Their objective was to “think outside of the box,” and they did just that.

A curvy-walled volume offers softer lines than your basic squared-off walls, especially juxtaposed with the hard brick of the perimeter.

Avoiding the cubicle (hooray!), long tables are set up with short dividers on them to give a somewhat private feel but still allowing for interaction.

Loving the built-in lounge chair!

Glass cut outs in organic shapes break up the white walls of the interior volume that house the more private areas.
