Presek Design Studio has launched the Opposite collection which started with a focus of designing functional objects. The pieces are painstakingly handmade with careful attention to detail and are all in limited edition. In the end, besides being functional, they’re also quite beautiful and make for eye-catching, modern accessories.
The Wooden KOTLIC lamp was inspired by Serbian folklore and traditional culture. They looked at cooking tripods and its geometric form, as well as tripods in general, which are prevalent in modern Serbian homes – coat racks, footstools, and various stands. Instead of cooking pots, it displays a hanging light bulb.
The KOTLIC LAMP is the same idea as above except it’s made out of powder-coated steel.
ECLIPSE is a table lamp that represents a stylized solar eclipse – the bulb is the sun and the screen is the moon. The screens are removable and come in black and white steel or natural wood, as well as with shapes cut out.
The SYNTHESIS table lets you store your favorite fruits, a plant, or any objects you have around within the center basket. The steel base holds the wooden tabletop in place while peaking through at the top to hold your goods.
