Ori is a collection of delicate lighting that was created as part of a collaboration between Producks design studio and textile designer Mika Barr. The name “Ori” originates from the Japanese word for folding, and also includes “Or”, which means light in Hebrew.

The light begins with Barr’s Folding A-part fabric that has a special print, which has an inner structure that helps it fold in accordance with the printed pattern. Producks aimed to create a new typology of lighting with unique shapes. While the geometric cloud-like shapes are manufactured identically, the user has input in its final design.

The folded nature of the fabric affects the lamp, giving the light more tones and shades. Its pillow-like shape has a hidden zipper, making it easy to replace the lightbulb when needed.
