Outdoor Seating Collection Inspired by the Outer Shell of Corn

In his 5th year working for Moroso, designer Marc Thorpe presents his first outdoor collection for Moroso M’Afrique. HUSK was inspired by the outer shell of corn, which populates fields in northern Italy, particularly around the city of Udine. It’s a globally recognized food and it’s eaten daily, so looking at the architecture of the corn’s husk, Thorpe modeled it and created an object we use daily – a chair.

The HUSK outdoor collection comes in three colors – red, green, and white – and in three versions in different heights. The chairs are manufactured in Dakar, Senegal.
