The piece peace FRAME for photos was designed by Kazutoyo Yamamoto of dessence. I find these frames full of inspiration — simple, raw and beautiful.

From the designer:

A good friend, a husband and wife showed me a photo. It was a photo full of warmth. And then the couple asked “Can you make us a frame for this?”

Recycled wood, and pieces of solid wood. Glancing at the fragments of these roughly on top of each other in a trash bin besides me, I was captured by the view of rich expressions. We have created a beautiful material, well balanced, strong, and full of diverse faces. Each wood piece has its own specie, color, and characteristics. As if it were like us, with difference in race and skin, each with a will of great individuality. I hope my wishes can be felt, for people to take hands and to overcome their distinctiveness, like this material did, for a well-balanced world full of peace.
