Platter of Friendship by Dombon-a-tanya

Inspired by the Hungarian tradition of friends sending each other celebratory plates of food, Budapest’s Dombon-a-tanya created a collection of eight platters for various occasions for gift giving. The collection is called Komatál, or Platter of Friendship, and as the tradition goes, it could mean a symbol of friendship, celebrating births, or simply an expression of best wishes. They took it up a notch and incorporated the balancing aspect, whether it’s on a bottle, a loaf of bread, or even a cantaloupe. The design is simple and perfectly brings this tradition to modern day times.
