Rayuela Stool by Alvaro Catalán de Ocón

Alvaro Catalán de Ocón design studio, based in Madrid, Spain, has created the geometric-inspired Rayuela stool that when grouped together creates an eye-catching visual effect. He began with the rhombus, a four-sided shape with endless possibilities. When you put three of them together you get a hexagon, which makes the perfect stool seat. Cover each rhombus in a different material and you have yourself a rockin’ tile-like design.

Available in four types of materials: colored Corian, solid wood, plywood, or recycled wood. The Rayuela is being presented at the Salone del Mobile 2012 in Milan.
