HoM Architecture & Design were invited to renovate this apartment in northern Tel Aviv after a family with three kids purchased it. The dated interior was dark and didn’t function effectively for the new owners. Simple things like rotating the sitting room to face the ocean views and the outdoor space make the interior more pleasant.
The once dark kitchen was opened up as much as possible to the dining room and living room.
Storage was added to the back wall while also containing the appliances. By opening the space up, they were able to add an island in the center.
With low ceilings, they kept the walls white to make the interior appear larger. Color was added in small doses to make the rooms pop.
A workstation was hidden within a wall of storage cabinets keeping clutter down to a minimum.
In the central part of the apartment, they added another sitting room with a TV. To help lighten the interior space up, they installed a translucent window from the bathroom into the TV area.
