Republic of Fritz Hansen Releases New Objects AW17 Collection

Combining the ideas of Danish and Japanese aesthetics, the Republic of Fritz Hansen™ has released their new collection of Objects for AW17. The accessories aim to bring joy into your household with their timeless style and warm materials, such as terracotta, ash veneer, leather, and knitted wool. The collection includes the work of renowned designers, like Jaime Hayon, Cecilie Manz, Arne Jacobsen, Wednesday Architecture, and Mia Lagerman, who were asked to use the colors or materials of nature as a starting point.

The JH Candleholders in Terracotta are by Jaime Hayon who created his solid brass candleholders in this new terracotta color. The design is fairly minimalistic with a matte finish while also being colorful and bold.

STACK 4 is part of Wednesday Architecture’s STACK TRAYS, which are now available in three sizes. The veneer trays are molded in three layers, much like Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7™ and Ant™ chairs.

Mia Lagerman designed the Paper Clock out of matte cotton paper. The simple design is embossed to form the clock face and when held to the light, two watermarks can be seen.

Origami, by Cecilie Manz, is multifunctional basket that mimics the Japanese art of paper folding. The linen and leather strap basket easily folds up when not needed and sets up instantly when you want a place to store your stuff.

Arne Jacobsen’s AJ Cushion now comes in a new graphic pattern called Trapez in a dark midnight blue. The pattern was originally designed by Jacobsen himself and features a bold geometric texture full of dimension.

Also by Cecilie Manz, the Pouf Sakura is a Japanese-inspired pouf upholstered in linen on the bottom and in a Kvadrat textile in a Sakura pink on the top. The pouf is on the smaller side making it lightweight and easy to move around.

The Seat Cushion was designed to fit Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7™ chair and it now comes in a new Cowboy Brown leather for a more natural, comfortable feel.
