Sarah Spitler was born and raised in Ohio and now lives and works in San Francisco. She attributes her work to a certain level of chaos, as she writes in her artist statement:
“Chaos is powerful in that it is beyond human control; specifically, it interests me in depiction as catastrophe – as the uncontrollable and random force of natural cataclysms.”
