Scatter Shelf by Nendo

Nendo is on fire. Their new Scatter Shelf will be presented at the Carpenter’s Workshop Gallery in London during the Frieze Art Fair, and then at Friedman Benda in New York.

The shelf is composed of 5mm black acrylic formed into a grid and stacked in layers. They describe the shelf beautifully when they say that it looks as though objects are “caught in a spider’s web when viewed from the front.” Also, when one passes behind, it creates a kaleidoscope-like effect.
