Doesn’t Nigel Coates’ Plasma armchair make you want to sit down, sink into it, and release a big breath of air? Created for Poltronova, it reflects Coates’ love of digital design and his growing interest in furniture design. A simple chair with a graphic appearance, some complex technology is used to bring it to life. The chair’s wire frame is made with computerized methods of bending and welding. Seat cushions in a rainbow of colors fill it out, adding welcoming plush curves. There’s also an available footrest that further invites you to kick back for a bit. Plasma is also available for outdoor use.
