Skateback iPhone Cases by Grove

Grove is introducing a new breed of iPhone 4 and 4S cases called SkateBacks. Making a short journey from raw skateboard waste to eye-catching ply with Lindsay at MapleXO, the old skateboard scraps then become groovy cell phone cases at Grove.

The scraps come from Costa Mesa, CA company PS Stix, who manufactures more than 4,000 skateboards every day, 200 per hour, almost three per minute! It’s nice to know that the wood scraps are being put to good use!

For $49 you can own one of these scrapboard iPhone cases, which are mostly handmade and completely original – no two are alike! The case easily attaches to the back of your iPhone 4/4S with a peel-and-stick 3M adhesive (removable without residue) and will protect your phone from bumps and scrapes. Three colorways are available: Calm, Neutral, or Vibrant.
