So Sottsass at Darkroom London

If ever there was a designer that I particularly loved so much that I’m inspired by him when I make art, it’s Ettore Sottsass. The bright, bold shapes and the festive patterns of Memphis is one of my very favorite movement in the history of design. That’s why when I found out about Darkroom’s new So Sottsass collection, I was uber-excited. Their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection consists of collaborative designs and commissions for men, women and the home all inspired by the Memphis Man, Sottsass. Designers include StudioPepe, Spotti Edizioni, Zuzunaga, Jamie Julien-Brown and Stone Theatre.

Unfortunately, the season launched during the London Design Festival and we were unable to check it out when we were in London, but luckily the Darkroom team has captured it in all its multi-colored glory, so prepare your eyes for a visual feast:

If you happen to be in London, you should stop on into Darkroom, located at 52 Lamb’s Conduit Street. But, if you’re too far, don’t worry—you can shop Darkroom online.
