Stacking Objects To Hold Up Bookshelves by Emiel Remmelts

Netherlands-based Emiel Remmelts considers construction and joints as a starting point, so what better way to create an object than by using other objects as construction and joints?

This bookshelf is created by stacking objects on top of one another, creating a kind of collage. Each composition is unique and defines the appearance of the shelf.

He has also created a coatrack with shelving.

His drawings that accompany this graduate project were inspired by Russian architect and graphic designer El Lissitzky.
