A Stool That Expands to Seat Two

We’ve all been there – when you’re in a crowded bar or when you have too many guests over and you need just one more extra seat. Fortunately Karthik Poduval, a recent graduate from Camberwell College of Art, has figured out a fun solution to that problem. The Room for Two Stool is a sleek and modular stool that expands to seat two people, similar to a bench. It aims to share space, as opposed to saving it.

Room for Two comes in two different heights and is made from eight different components. The taller, bar stool is made from solid ash, while the shorter stool is made from oak. Right now, all stools are made to order, with each stool being handmade by Karthik.
