Summit House by Note Design Studio

Summit House is a minimalist flexible workspace located in Holborn, London, designed by Note Design Studio for The Office Group. The building was originally built in 1925, and had a distinct art deco aesthetic with a striking facade. Leaving only the art deco features, the entire 45,000 sq ft interior has been completely reimagined.

Wanting to set a good first impression upon entering, the studio decided to exaggerate the reception area by adding a tiered architectural structure to frame the space and draw attention towards the Birdeye Maple reception desk. The flooring consists of custom-made terrazzo, which complements the deep warm tones of oak and the overall color scheme composed of warm white and smooth caramel hues.

In an effort to help recharge members during an otherwise busy workweek, the space will offer a recharge room. The minimalist room uses light colors, a natural sisal carpet, and unimposing moveable furniture. Horizontal light will fill the room, which has been proven to enhance physical and physiological well-being.
