The aptly named Sunshine House is a modern beach house in Australia that’s constructed of glass, concrete, and wood. Designed by Teeland Architects, it’s an open, airy house that still maintains a sense of privacy.
Nestled on a quiet back street behind a beach, the house is hidden by overarching trees that cloak it from public view. It is clad in concrete and glass, with large open windows that open up to the sky.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are built in the back of the house, with windows that look out over a private rainforest in the house’s backyard.
In the kitchen, wood and plaster provide a warm contrast to the concrete exterior.
In the center of the home lays a walled courtyard garden for reflection and also entertaining.
