A Table/Stool Made From Flat Plywood Parts

Based in Amsterdam, product and furniture designer Andreas Kowalewski designed the first product for the newly launched German brand Caussa – the Wedge Table. The design was born from the idea of making a three-dimensional table or stool completely from flat plywood parts.

The stool is made from three legs that lock together. The legs splay out taper as they reach the floor to bundle the static stresses and to help prevent the table from tipping over. The legs connect to the top with a triple-armed steel part that works to complete the static structure. Due to its design and construction, Wedge is sturdy enough to be used as a stool.
