I’m not quite ready to show you my nursery (it’s nowhere near being finished!) but I wanted to share some products we’re using for Little Milk. OK, and you might get a tiny sneak peek at the nursery…
Nook Sleep Systems was kind enough to send over their Pebble crib mattress, Pebble ChangePad, and LilyPad Playmat (I opted for a pink one). These were on the top of my wishlist so I was pretty excited to get the chance to try them out. I first took note of Nook early last year, and I remember saying to myself, “If I ever have a baby, this is the mattress I would get.”
All three products have Nook’s signature pebble-like texture that allows for air flow. I think I expected it to be very firm but in fact, the fabric is really soft and cushiony. In fact, it feels so cozy that I hope they decide to make Nook mattresses for adults…
The ChangePad is their newest product and has a non-toxic foam core with a stain resistant, waterproof, removable, washable cover.
And, here’s a teeny tiny sneak peek of the nursery…
Mr. Sock Monkey needs a name…
I will keep you posted on how these products hold up as they’re used. Find Nook products on their website or at Bobby Berk Home.

that looks like a very comfy mattress. Although, if i recall, when i was looking for a mattress for my newborn last year, all articles and recommendations i read highly suggested a firm mattress for babies.
either way, that mattress looks very comfortable.

It’s not pillowy, it’s a good balance between soft and firm.

Not sure about how safe it would be. It looks cool, but you’re going to have to put a sheet on top, kind of defeats the purpose of the looks.

The mattress will be covered by a crib sheet. The textured pebble pattern isn’t for looks, it’s for breathability and air circulation. You can learn more about the special design here: http://nooksleep.com/learn/the-difference/breathable

I think it looks great , i can imagine how it feels , and the fact its designed for air circulation is great .I would consider buying an adult version if it was availaable. Thanks for sharing .
P.S I think the sock monkey should be called Marcel .

Love it! Then again, I made sure to put my baby’s sock monkey in his crib in every pic of my son’s nursery! Haha. How can you not? Instead of George, our monkey is Jorge. :)

I made a sock monkey for my daughter and named him Captain Huggypants. I vote for that name for your little monkey, too!

Glad to see so many folks concerned about safe sleep. Check out the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations for safe sleep. Looks comfy; just make sure it’s safe :-)

Great room shaping up!
That looks like the Spot on Square Roh Crib too. That’s what we display nook with in our store, exactly in that configuration with one acrylic side :)

@Rhonda
The nook is as safe as they come. It is designed from the ground up, precisely to combat SIDS. It does this through aiding with temperature regulation and top to bottom breathability.

Looks awesome. It looks like it was designed by Karim Rashid.

We have this mattress for our son! It is AMAZING! The pebbles are so soft and it’s so nice knowing he’s sleeping on something safe that hasn’t been treated with toxic flame retardants. We use an organic crib sheet on top of it although we didn’t for the first 9 months. I highly recommend this mattress!
