Ten Tables Puts Dubai’s Heritage + Tradition On Display

Earlier this month, architecture and design firm Binchy and Binchy launched Ten Tables, a standout collection of collectible statement pieces that put Dubai’s unique heritage and tradition on display for the world to see. The Ten Tables represent Binchy and Binchy’s belief in architecture being used as an extension of a time period, with many of the tables made using the same technology that was used on actual construction during that specific age. These ten pieces encapsulate symbolism, cultural ideals, and ethnic elements, all within a refined contemporary shell.

Cultural undertones aside, the Ten Tables have a minimalist, contemporary approach. One thing the pieces have in common with one another is their base, each made into various shapes by compressing thousands of pieces of paper together. No ordinary paper, it was taken from heritage studies conducted by the team – creating a stone-like historical archive of ideas, imagery, and symbolism.
