Tetra is a new online shop by Sight Unseen’s Monica Khemsurov, Eviana Hartman and Su Wu of I’m Revolting.
Tetra will offer smoking items for the design enthusiast from contemporary pipes, lighters and ashtrays to snuff boxes, storage pouches, incense burners and more. The designers who are creating products for Tetra’s launch is impressive: Apparatus, Fort Standard, Ben Medansky, Joe Doucet, Crescioni, Katie Stout and Sean Gerstley, The Principals, Object + Totem, and more. Plus, they’ll stock some existing pieces from Tom Dixon, Anna New York, Normann Copenhagen, Tsubota Pearl, Pax, Amuna Mundi, and Lake + Skye.
Highlights of the collection include a very luxurious ashtray coated in 24-karat gold by Joe Doucet, an exclusive ashtray/pipe-stand version of ceramicist Helen Levi’s popular gilded hand, and a cast-glass ashtray that changes colors depending on the type light it’s under, by Andrew O Hughes.
