The Barcelona EDITION Reopens in Barcelona With a Fresh Take

The Barcelona EDITION is a boutique hotel located in Barcelona, Spain, designed by Office of Architecture in Barcelona (OAB). The property recently announced its reopening within El Born, the city’s historical and creative epicenter. The reopening introduces a fresh take on its signature restaurant, Bar Veraz, as well as a new terrace for dining.

Featuring 100 guest rooms, the interiors were outfitted by interior designer Lázaro Rosa Violán, who chose iconic pieces local to the region. Most notable are the Bracelli Light along with the Leda armchair, both of which were designed by Salvador Dalí. Gaulino chairs can be seen within the suites, adding local flair to each guest room as well.

The original existing office building was reinterpreted by OAB to include a complete rehabilitation of the spaces within, as well as building a new skin resulting from the tension between its new typology. Most characteristic are the bow windows which form diamond points that correspond as sitting areas within the guest rooms.
