The Doppio Collection Is Perfect for Urban Nomads

New York-based Civil collaborates with recognized designers, like leading American design voice Brad Ascalon, to make furniture for the urban lifestyle. Recently the two brands unveiled a collaborative table collection – Doppio – that features a unique blend of design, function, and sustainability.

The word Doppio means ‘double’ in Italian, and gets its name for both the double horizontal T-structures of the frames as well as the double-sided table top that can simply be flipped over without any tools for a fresh appearance. There are even two table designs – Doppio 95 and Doppio 65.

The top is made from woods, stones, and lacquers that have been mounted back-to-back for a unique look, while Doppio’s frame has been cleverly designed. Both models are just about perfect for urban nomads who blur the lines between where they live, work, and play. As they move from apartment to apartment and through different phases of life, Doppio can go right along with them.

Civil is deeply vested in ecological concerns, and Doppio has a neutral carbon footprint that’s in line with their commitment to bringing a new level of design and environmental thought to the industry. All of their furniture is sold at fair prices, thanks to Civil’s direct from the maker model, and is helping to bring high design to more people while treating them and the planet with the respect they deserve.

Doppio is Civil’s first collaboration with an American designer. It is made in Italy.
