The HYUU Wireless Charger Delivers Serenity Now

The influence of technology upon our lives tends to skew heavily toward connectivity and productivity, but rarely does technology evoke the sensory and serene. Juwon Kim’s HYUU Wireless Charger bucks the norm with a wireless charger concept design suggestive of a Japanese Zen garden, with delicate raked lines reminiscent of stone garden and a LED charging stick inspired by incense.

Inspired by the carefully raked sand or stone of a Japanese Zen garden (枯山水, karesansui), the HYUU Wireless Charger’s beautifully realized form is purely aesthetic, offering a textural grip to align any Qi-compatible device a surface to sit upon between charges.

The HYUU design’s most unique detail is the inclusion of a charging stick, an LED illuminated “incense” stick that sits angled over the charging surface, its glow traveling along its length to clearly communicate a state of charging.

While you may be as ready as we are to purchase the HYUU, the wireless charger is only a concept at this time. For options available right now, check out the Design Milk Shop for a few of our current favorite wireless charging options.
