The Norman Boutique Hotel by Yoav Messer

The Norman is a minimalist boutique hotel located in Tel Aviv, Israel, designed by Yoav Messer, with interior design by SAGRADA. The project is a conversion of two historic buildings that unites their Bauhaus-inspired original architecture from the 1920s with contemporary facilities and furnishings.

The designers created a space that was inspired by a vision of bringing artists and craftsman together. SAGRADA was careful to respect the vernacular of the building and maintain the style that was attributed to the Bauhaus aesthetic.

With the combination of bespoke furniture and handcrafted elements, the space evokes a sense of discerning luxury mixed with subtle nostalgia. In total, the hotel consists of 30 bedrooms and 20 suites along with two penthouse suites. Most notable is the hotel’s signature rooftop restaurant, Alena, which highlights Tel Aviv’s eclectic food scene, offering some of the world’s best dishes from street side to fine dining.
