The Torii Nest Outdoor Collection Is a Woven Dream

Minotti’s Torii Nest was first introduced in 2020 for use indoors – but this year it’s making the move outside. The Torii Nest Outdoor collection, designed by nendo, features some of the same traditional Japanese structural details as its predecessor, with a woven backrest. Inspired by Vienna straw and executed in a larger mesh, the ecru or dark brown cord covers the varnished tubular steel frame of the armchair, lounge, and dining chair that make up the collection. Torii Nest’s perfect half-circle backrest is as sophisticated as it is comfortable, with an airy feel and accompanying upholstered seat. Functional and ergonomic, it sits upon a base of natural teak or dark brown stained mahogany that’s supported by varnished aluminum legs with a polished, bronze-colored, anti-touch finish. The three chair designs are available in fixed and swivel without return versions.
