DesignCode is officially launching three new products at Maison&Objet in September.
Chibi
Chibi, a word used in Japanese to call with affection to something small. This new product is destined to become DesignCode icon, along with Joyns or Flamp lamp. Simplicity and ingenuity become a new way of representing the iconic forms of a lamp.
Chibi is made of 100% recyclable iron and comes assembled. It is available in four options: black or white and a bicolor combo of either green/white or black/red.
Nona
Nona has been designed as a gift. A gift to make to others or to oneself. Its surprising packaging which hides the colored part of the lamp and all its components, transforms this piece into a gift that doesn’t need to be wrapped.
Its design achieves a surprising play on light and shadows with organic and geometric patterns. Its base is available in 8 different colors and is essentially a light box, a white retro illuminated volume that, due to the reflections on its base, radiates slightly tinted light shines.
Tobo
There are many types of paper in our home: toilet paper, kitchen towels, napkins, tissues… If you think about it, almost all of them could be replaced, except for one: toilet paper.
Tobo design process started from the observation of a badly resolved aesthetically practice: using toilet paper napkin as a handkerchief or outside their usual context. The presence of toilet paper on a table or desk is not attractive, because of this it was key to get the elegance of something a priori is not.
Manufactured completely with ceramic, an environmentally friendly material, Tobo succeeds due to its simplicity. It is an innovative, and practical piece, which is available in three colors: white, red, and black. Each piece is made by hand, by artisans from Barcelona.
Why not give toilet paper other uses?
