Timekettle WT2 Edge Earbuds Deliver 2-way Cross-Language Communication

Most of you have used a translator tool, but the tool itself can often be a “barrier” to communication, as you have to hold forth or back while talking to others or have to wait for the translation to be delivered before you respond.

Timekettle WT2 Edge, the world’s first bi-directional simultaneous translation earbuds, has redefined the translator tool. Aimed at building a “utopia” without a language barrier, Timekettle creates natural 2-way cross language communication earbuds that help you bridge the gap, and talk to the world.

“Until now, most translators were a lot like old walkie-talkies. Only one person could speak at a time, while everyone else waited their turn to speak. The translations worked, but the conversation was anything but natural,” says Alex Qin the Co-founder of Timekettle. “Those days are over. With the WT2 Edge, it’s always your turn to speak.”

Timekettle WT2 Edge are the first earbuds to offer true bi-directional simultaneous translation, meaning you can speak and hear other people’s translations at the same time – the way conversations were meant to be. No more awkward pauses, so your conversations flow naturally, from pillow-talk to boardroom banter.

By applying a z-vector (measuring depth) voice algorithm alongside dual-mics built into each earbud, the Timekettle WT2 Edge can accurately pick up your own voice from the ambient sound. You then hear the translation clearly anywhere—in a cafe, at a restaurant, even on the street.

Timekettle WT2 Edge supports 40 languages and 93 accents with up to 95% accuracy, translating in real-time as you speak and delivering it to your listener’s ear in as little as 0.5 seconds. It’s also equipped with seven languages (and counting!) available for offline access. And, most impressively, the current $139 ($259 MSRP), without translation monthly subscription fee or hour-based charging rate delivers this wearable translator for a price considerably lower than traditional interpreters that typically charge anywhere between $500 to $1,000 per day.

Travel is still limited, we know. However, even though you can’t communicate with each other face-to-face, it won’t be a problem as the WT2 Edge’s Group Chat function supports up to 30 persons speaking in 30 different languages online.

You can even use it with Zoom to make a video call, and get the translation in real-time. And more, the WT2 Edge will take notes and send a text copy of your conversation to your phone so nothing will be missed out.

Communication is connection. When the language barrier is removed, no place, no goal, no dream, nothing is out of reach. Timekettle WT2 Edge is one of the most exciting developments showing how magic things are going to happen when artificial intelligence meets design.

The Timekettle WT2 Edge is currently seeking crowdfunding support before official launch. It has now successfully crowdfunded over $950,000 on Indiegogo with more than 5800 backers’ support. Only 48 hours left to grab the Early Birds Deals of this useful and popular translation earbuds. For additional information, check out timekettle.co.
