TOAD Sidetable by Philipp Beisheim

South African-born, German-based designer Philipp Beisheim created the TOAD Side Table that was born from his philosophy of not trying to solve problems, instead “it’s more about creating new situations.” TOAD is composed of three table pieces that cannot stand on their own. In order to function as a table and gain stability, they must be connected together. In doing so, a new form is created.

The table is made from solid ash with a lacquered tabletop. I kind of think it mimics a toadstool which I guess is where the name comes from? I love the overall shape with its three tiers, making it perfect to sit by a sofa.
