The Metal Work Lamp Gets Modernized

Tommaso Caldera set out to reinterpret the classic workshop lamp. You know, those industrial looking lamps with the metal cages you spot in workshops? Well, the TULL lamp, designed for Incipit, is a much more refined version with a spun aluminum shell for the diffuser and curved steel wire for the cage, removing the industrial and bringing in the elegant for a domestic setting.

The cage acts as a sculptural detail, instead of as a shield to protect the bulb. Imagine the shadows the cage creates as the light passes through and hits the walls and floors!
