The Type Faces Project by Tiago Pinto is a nice reminder that we don’t have to take everything about design so seriously. The Portuguese advertising creative spent a month off before moving to Amsterdam and came up with this fun project of faces created using fonts. Aren’t they cute?

For me every Font has a Face. So Bodoni is the Italian with a moustache, Futura is the stylish and good looking mid-life man, Times New Roman… well you got the point.

Exactly. I did that too in college. I really don’t think he “came up with this fun project”, although we have to give him credit for taking it further and making his name known. The only thing i don’t like here is and on a lot of websites featuring this work is the lack of an explanation from the author on how he came up with idea…
