UIOE Designs the Magnified Calendar You Can Use Forever

Jiwoong Jung, of UIOE, has previously explored ‘hidden time’ through a watch design and is now putting it on display with the Magnified Calendar. Made of clear or frosted acrylic, the perpetual calendar invites you to change the date daily by sliding the lens sideways. Once it is selected, the lens magnifies that day’s date making it easy to spot on the fly.

Besides keeping you up-to-date on the, well, date, the calendar becomes a design object you can place on your desk or shelf. While one can easily turn to their smartphone to check the date, the Magnified Calendar helps keep you in the moment through the physical act of moving the lens and reminding us of time passing.
