Uluru Modular Concrete Seating by Shiro studio

When we think of concrete, we tend to think of it as heavy, but London-based Shiro studio used UHPC (ultra high performance concrete) in their latest design. The Uluru collection is a modular seating system with sculptural qualities that offer various positions for seating.

The smooth, plain surface curves and extends up vertically to become a supportive backrest. Each of the seating elements is modular and can be connected to others so they form a continuous seating system.

The nature of the almost non-porous surface means the finish comes out looking similar to polished granite, as opposed to cast concrete.
