UP by Jawbone: New & Improved

Last year we featured UP by Jawbone but after a short and rocky time on the market, they recalled the design. They’re back with a new version of UP, a wristband that collects data based on your movements, sleep patterns, calories burned, food intake, etc. Paired with the corresponding app and you get personal insight into your daily habits and how to improve on them.

The new UP has all the kinks worked out and the sleek, wearable, Yves Béhar design will fit seamlessly into your life. The water-resistant band is made to be worn 24/7 and it’s like having a computer wrapped around your wrist.

Available in eight colors, the device uses sensors to track how much you sleep and how deep of a sleep it was, as well as how much you move. The iOS app that goes with it allows you to then keep track of your meals by either scanning the barcode of the packaged food you ate or by inputting the info yourself. You also keep track of things like your mood.

After compiling all of the data, you can see how much progress you’ve made or where you need to make improvements for healthier living.

Note: They are working on an Android app that should be out soon.
