This Upper West Side Penthouse got a major gut renovation with the help of Turett Collaborative Architects (TCA). With panoramic views of New York City, floor-to-ceiling windows frame various aspects of the skyline while on the inside, the homeowner’s extensive South Asian art collection takes the stage.
TCA kept the color palette fairly neutral, as not to compete with the art and views. Dark wooden floors are paired with white textured walls.
A glass enclosed study provides a separate spot to work while not interfering with the views.
High gloss ceilings reflect light and extend the views of the city up onto the ceiling.
Concrete room dividers help partition the spaces while also acting as places to showcase sculptures.
Custom cabinetry hides clutter in the kitchen. The cabinet doors are reflective thanks to the back-painted glass.
The bedrooms are outfitted with sound-proofed windows. Hidden sound systems and electrical outlets keep visual distractions at bay,
